American Playwright Edward Albee passed away this Friday at the age of 88. Albee was three-time Pulitzer prize winner and, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, "arguably America's greatest living playwright". Albee's best know play is "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?", an impassioned and controversial play that was made into a film in 1966 starring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. The library has two plays by Albee in one volume, "The zoo story and The sandbox". Its is available to be checked out in the stacks under PS3501 .L25 Z3 1987
